New York, New York - Circa 1959
Stephane Groueff became a successful journalist when he joined the French magazine Paris-Match. He traveled extensively as a foreign correspondent. In 1958, he became the chief of the New York Bureau for Paris-Match and worked there for 20 years. Pictured here in the “club-atmosphere” of the Paris-Match offices are Anni Tchaprachikoff (a very dear friend of my family who unfortunately recently passed away on July 28, 2006 at the age of 88 in Versailles, France), my uncle Stephane, Philippe de Bauset, Myles Herbert and Paul Slade.
